Psychedelic Expresionism

Zeeno Arts, is a multidisciplinary platform for the expression of my many creative disciplines.
It exists outside the need to conform to a single medium, style, or visual language. 

I don’t believe creativity needs to be narrowed in order to be understood but instead witnessed in its freedom. 

I have always been creating—making, fixing, and reworking what is already there.
As a child, scarves became outfits, and play became performance. I was always painting, dressing up, acting, singing, and dancing—drawn to the quiet satisfaction of making things beautiful.

Over time, this became a way of working: using what I have to create what I imagine.
Taking objects of little or overlooked value and allowing them to become something considered, meaningful, and beautiful.

I am not separate from my art. It shifts as I shift, shaped by curiosity, instinct, and lived experience.

Currently creating from the Northern Rivers of NSW, my work is influenced by the Australian native landscape and its subtle rhythms, for these rhythms and the energy of this land have shaped my experiences and held me through my otherworldly, psychedelic adventures.

I am inspired through my curiosity of the human form. How our time here on earth shapes it and it, our time. The human form is both strange and familiar, beautiful and hideous, alluring and repulsing. From this place of tender curiosity, I find myself gently traversing layers of human consciousness through an observant exploration of self.

 

Through my practice, I hope to offer moments of joy, inspiration, and freedom through self-expression,
and to remind viewers of the wonder that exists in all things, always.

We simply need to be present enough to notice it.
